I don't
want to think about it. But it's in here knocking, pounding on the door of consciousness.
Demanding, screaming like the thousands of dead ones,
Do not forget us. Remember our sacrifice.
Innocent pawns in a game unknown before that day.
I can't stand it, it hurts, I am afraid for the future.
Hear us, O world of static and insincerity.
We cry out to you, don't turn away for there is no refuge.
We are not an illusion or a nightmare but your constant companions.
How could this have happened? We lost our humanity in lust and hate and selfishness.
It is up to you to grow, focus and unite.
We can't do it for you. You are the ones left to finish the task.
Wake up and see your brothers and sisters. Reach out and do not let another
one fall.
Complacency is past like the innocents lost.
Terror is not welcomed in a world of friends and family.
Don't turn to hate for that is the cause of this pain.
Heal the wounds with the balm of friendship and humility.
Do not accept the darkness. Light the way.
Build a world where discord and strife is unacceptable.
Raise the standard for humanity to its rightful place.
It won't be easy or quick. The hearts must mend and grow into their destiny.
Dreams will have to wait. Turn to the lord accept his grace.
You cannot delegate this task, it is for you, each of you.
Do not think you can leave us. The universe will not let you.
We demand justice not revenge. Say a pray for the soul of humanity.
The world requires your attention and devotion fail us not!
The generations past and future watch you. Wait for you. Pray for you.
Innocents daze amaze horrors withdrawal numb shame acceptance fear and denial
The days have ended along with the century.
The shroud of darkest night now envelops the dreams with screams.
Could we have known and remained on the course?
Uncertainty and sadness cling to the bones of humanity.
The voices of song are muffled in shame and blame.
The clock tics tocs while our hearts are frozen in fear.
The eyes of the children of the world search the heavens for solace.
What can I tell them, it will be all right, and we will learn to live with fright?
Oh no! My soul will not whither nor will I cower.
I walk the path of virtue and take my time to share what I care about.
I listen and meditate and pray for courage and fortitude.
Oh God, hear us, bring back the sun; let us bask in innocence again.
This is the crisis that will mature human kind and restore the spirit of humanity,
If we understand and respond to the cause.
The road is no longer as straight and smooth as memory recalls
But the destinations are still glorious and bright in the desire of the hearts
Of those who hear His voice and see through the shadows to future!
Please let me be one of them.
