The rest of my life

Its not a relaxation but a passing of the storms sailing thru the waves of time

How ironic that the children of this day excel beyond the greatest genius of our early ancestors

They would not understand nor want the life we live today

We are a different race from a planet of another color

Yet we are the same connected through the atoms of this universe and the emotions of mankind

Love, hate, lust, desire, kindness, fear, courage, yeah we’re all right

This is the way it’s supposed to be even if none of us can grasp the justice of the plan

How can I live the rest of my life suffering to understand this chaos and accepting

The pain, the separateness, the apparent injustice

The cold realization that no one will make eye contact as they walk by

And what about the end ?

Is this screenplay, a comedy or tragedy or just a waste of the rest of my life

I’m trying to understand and not lose the little humanity I have

I know it will work out and be all right

Yet the confusion and the fear squeeze out the inner peace that is my birthright

I am somebody who is supposed to be

Happy and loving and giving and accepting

For the rest of my life

For the best of my life

I’m not giving the rest of my life away for money, comfort, the illusion of security

It’s my gift and I bring a bounty to the table of life

Let us all eat our fill and horde not the scraps there is enough for all

Feel the light, see the music, hear the colors,

touch the rest of our life every minute there is to share

The spirit of humankind is our guide and companion

If we listen we can hear the whisper of the love of God in every thing there is

Our absolute is the family of man. Oh my sister, my brother, let us celebrate for

the rest of our life
